Moog, Rockford, Patrick, and the Cockleburrick are there with the leaf boat, the gathered creatures, and the squid squad waiting to take everyone back across the sea. Ic wants to go too, and that turns into a lovely jolt: a green, yellow-striped Teaselback Ic explains that Cockleburr Ics are not the whole story. There are others. Then the adventure makes room for science. Simon Watt of the Ugly Animal Preservation Society talks about ugly animals and why conservation attention so often goes to creatures with beauty, backbones, fur, or famous faces. Tigers get plenty of love. Blobfish, worms, vultures, and naked mole rats get the stranger job here, as funny examples that also matter.
