The NFL Streaming Service Problem, Eagles Scapegoating Jalen, Giants Star Demands Trade

·45 min·4 clips

A damning article exposes Jalen Hurts as uncoachable, but is he being scapegoated to protect Nick Ceriani's job?

The episode opens with JT mentioning the college basketball national championship before diving into NFL topics. He starts with Jalen Hurts, referencing an article that labels him uncoachable and unwilling to adapt to new schemes. JT argues Hurts is being made a scapegoat to shield Eagles head coach Nick Ceriani, whose job security is at risk. He explains that Hurts' success depends on elite offensive coordinators like Shane Steichen and Kellen Moore, contrasting him with quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes who are system-independent. Next, JT discusses Puka Nakua's off-field spiral, detailing how he bit someone while drunk and entered rehab after personal issues, including a paternity betrayal. He speculates the Rams might trade Nakua despite his talent due to these concerns, referencing Colin Cowart's earlier prediction. The episode then shifts to Dexter Lawrence demanding a trade from the Giants, with JT analyzing whether the team should pay him or trade him based on their playoff aspirations. He notes Lawrence's down season but emphasizes his value as a two-time All-Pro. JT criticizes the NFL's streaming service model, listing 10 platforms required to watch games and arguing it inconveniences fans, especially older ones, and leads to illegal streaming. He covers the Raiders signing Kirk Cousins to a one-year deal, noting Fernando Mendoza will sit as a rookie under coach Tyron Brady's philosophy. Finally, JT defends the Jaguars' extension of Trayvon Walker, calling it a steal compared to other pass rushers like Jalen Phillips. The episode concludes with calls to action for listeners to engage with the show.
