Mahjaba Hamani, the son of Iran's late Supreme Leader, was chosen despite never holding a government position.

Episode 628 opens on the evening of 8 March. The host says the war is entering its second week, then turns an embassy blast into a quick check of target and motive. No injuries are reported. That first item sets the pattern: read the article, fix the geography, then ask whether the event looks targeted, unresolved, or just another odd marker of the moment. Iran sits at the center. From there, the host follows Israeli and U.S. strikes while the IDF chief warns that there is no safe place for the Iranian regime. Beirut comes next. An Israeli Navy strike is described as killing five Quds Force commanders, with the host stopping just long enough to explain Quds before moving on. Tehran gets the heavier read. The Israeli Air Force reportedly hits IRGC headquarters, space and satellite facilities, bunkers, a Basij base, and a compound tied to the Guards. The Babian detail lands hard. The host stays with the speed of the operation, noting that the newly appointed military secretary was killed within roughly an hour of real-time intelligence arriving. That is the practical point. Names and titles matter because each strike is treated less like spectacle and more like a message about reach, intelligence, and regime vulnerability. Then the map widens again. Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the Sheba oil field, Fujairah, and a UAE oil facility show up as pressure points around a conflict already pushing beyond the main fronts. Baghdad adds another warning. A drone approaching Victoria base is shot down by Iraqi air defenses, and the host leaves attribution open because several actors could fit. That uncertainty is the mood. By the closing minute, the update feels less like a finished argument than a running battlefield ledger, waiting to see what the war looks like tomorrow.
