#208 - With Luke and Pete Talking Sheet - Hot Water’s Green Room w/Tony & Jamie

December 8, 2025·1 hr 2 min·4 clips
A hotel technician walked in, said nothing clear, and made Pete think someone had come to attack him.
The cold open is all business. There is a 2026 UK and Ireland tour plug, a London start, a Manchester finish, and a grooming sponsor read trying to pass as cheeky. Then the room cracks open. The Patreon hot wings challenge comes up and gets mocked right away as familiar, overdone, and too easy to plug. So the plug becomes the joke. Someone points the camera at Patreon, someone else groans at another sponsorship angle, and the whole thing starts feeding on itself. Tour admin barges back in. The Epstein Theater mention should be a plain venue note, but the table turns it into name confusion, reputational panic, and the same correction about Brian Epstein. It barely slows anyone down. The joke keeps drifting toward the other Epstein, then veers into whether the venue needs a bracketed warning so nobody gets the wrong idea. Dumb, but knowingly dumb. After that, the panel grabs another infamous-name story about an African prime minister and batters one tiny phrase until it becomes noise. The repetition is the joke. Nobody is chasing a clean point; they are trying to force the next person into the worse version. Patreon keeps interrupting, because of course it does. Paid extras, tour stops, and housekeeping all get treated like survival supplies for a show roasting itself to stay alive. The close stays ragged: 12 dates left, Scotland, Southampton, London, an extended autumn 2026 run, and another push for the O2 Apollo in Manchester. The ask is blunt. Buy tickets and support the show, because the whole operation sounds held together with fumes and leftover leaves. Then, since nobody can leave properly, someone gets told they could front a band.

As heard by us

A fast, irreverent comic exchange that folds sponsor reads, tour talk, and a name joke into one loose run.

Built around a sponsor read, a wing-eating challenge, tour chatter, and a long riff on Epstein Theater, this one keeps moving. The charm is in how easily it folds plugs, apologies, and disbelief into the same run, so it never really settles into one mode.
