Send Help (2026) - SPOILER FREE REVIEW

·59 min·3 clips
Hannah says she laughed out loud a lot and gave Send Help four out of five on Letterboxd.
Sam Raimi gets the return-to-horror treatment, with Hannah and Matt using Send Help as a spoiler-light excuse to talk crash survivors, old grudges, and a movie where teamwork sounds like the punchline. They keep the plot guarded, but there is plenty to chew on: the production credits, the deserted-island setup, and the buzz of seeing it early in a packed theater. Raimi's pace is the thing they keep chasing. The camera gets the biggest love, especially those whipping pans and snap moves. A food gag lands so gross they sound almost delighted to be offended by it. Rachel McAdams comes up through a shared interview clip, which turns into a bit about Raimi pushing her faster and her Canadian pace being too slow for his movie. Matt wants more Raimi. Hannah hears more of his stamp here than in Multiverse of Madness, but Evil Dead 2 still hangs over the room. Bruce Campbell's absence stings, and that turns into a bigger back-and-forth about how much he shaped those old films. The mood is positive, just itchy. Send Help sounds fun and clearly Raimi, but the episode keeps tugging at the same wish: go faster, get weirder, be grosser. Then the ending veers into Spider-Man, Tobey, and Jesse Plemons as a villain. The review stays loose, more excited argument than clean verdict.
