466: Serious Question: Is This The Beginning Of The End For BGS and Beckett?

·13 min·1 clip

Beckett is changing the way the sports card grading industry has worked for decades, but they're altering things nobody actually asked for.

The host analyzes Beckett's leaked plan to change their sports card grading standards, which would have allowed cards with one 10 and three 9.5 subgrades to receive a final 10 grade. He critiques the business rationale behind changing an industry standard that nobody requested, discusses how Beckett reversed the decision after 48 hours, and examines what this reveals about the company's direction and customer trust.
