React Pod: Raptors respond with their best win of the year over Pistons

March 15, 2026·1 hr 29 min·7 clips
The Raptors just delivered their best win of the year, completely flipping the script after getting punked earlier in the week.
The Raptors finally hit back. William Liu opens in disbelief because the team that got punked by Houston and New Orleans just handled the Pistons from start to finish. That is the whole whiplash. Toronto beat a good team, matched the physicality, and did not cough up the fourth quarter. Those were the season-long charges against them, and for one night they answered all of them. Even Alex is apparently watching now, which becomes the house signal that something is happening: two straight Raptors wins, two straight Alex games. Barry keeps waiting for the lead to disappear. It does not, so Liu gets to be pleasantly surprised without pretending the dread was silly. Practice time gets a real nod too. The slower schedule, with two-day gaps between games, seems to have helped the team settle down and play with a little more control. The fan day tangent is exactly the kind of side road this show enjoys. Liu insists it is not paid for by MLSC while still saying the event was nice. Then the episode snaps back to the basketball. Toronto's response to the previous 25-point loss to Detroit is the evidence that sticks, especially after the Pistons pushed them around last time. Detroit still gets respect. Cade Cunningham gets called a killer after scoring 33, Jalen Duren has a quiet 20, and Tobias Harris gets called out for an efficient 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting while everyone else lands in single digits. Still, Toronto controlled enough of the night that those lines felt secondary. The finish is loose, tired, and thankful, with Liu promising more coverage tomorrow and thanking listeners for the money, love, and attention.
