Raptors one win away from playoffs and then Alex goes into full chaos mode

April 10, 2026·1 hr 39 min·8 clips
Alex Wong sparks a furious debate by claiming Raptors GM Bobby Webster is a dead ringer for a professional poker player.
The Raptors are feeling alive. That is all Alex needs to turn the episode into open-mic night, starting with a Toronto freestyle that should probably run out of gas right away. It does not. B.I. gets pictured dropping 38, Spoh gets a Scotiabank Arena warning, and Scotty becomes "the boardroom" because he is collecting stocks inside. The bit keeps grabbing names and daring them to rhyme: Yakup, RJ, Mamu, Shed. Even the bad setups survive. Quickly gets saved by a zero-to-100 line because the room will not let the miss die quietly. Then the real mess arrives. A YouTube poker rabbit hole turns into Alex insisting that a photo of Jawanda looks like Bobby Webster, and the room reacts like he has set off an alarm. Nobody eases into the take. Bobby's name, Jerome's angle, and the chat all get dragged in as evidence. The joke works because Alex keeps staying with it. Every objection only makes him more determined to show Bobby the photo next time, which somehow makes the idea worse and funnier. This is a hangout episode more than a tidy Raptors breakdown. The basketball hope is real, but the fun is the crew jumping from playoff-clinching mood to online screenshot court without downshifting. By the end, Jesse Reyes, Edgewalk, Gooners, a postgame show, an old Run the Backstreet exit episode, and a Serb Ibaka memory all fly past. The Raptors read is mostly emotional: the team has enough juice to make the hosts rhyme, warn Spoh, and treat the whole city like it is already in on the bit.

As heard by us

Basketball talk, freestyle jokes, and studio chaos.

This episode keeps veering between basketball talk and studio chaos, and that push-pull gives it its charge. The hosts sound fully inside the moment after two wins, then the conversation tilts into freestyle attempts, callbacks, and jokes that only land when everyone is moving…
