Haunted House Flippers · JD Lauriat

16 - Empty Halls

February 28, 2022·30 min·2 clips
Tom is alone in the sealed hallway when something starts moving toward him in the dark.
The house has found another bad idea. After the recap drops the Millers back into their inherited home in Uncannunic, New Hampshire, Tom and Janet end up in a closed-off space Lee and the neighbors somehow failed to mention. Tom starts with practical explanations. Janet meets him with the dry patience of someone whose haunted renovation keeps doubling as family therapy. The room does not add up. Maybe it was an in-law suite, until that idea veers into Janet's father and his ominously inventive threats. Then the room gives them something real to work with: a painting that looks enough like Lee to hint at a family connection going back generations. Tom jumps to old-house sociology. Janet keeps looking at the object, catching the plaque, carving, or missing-label detail he jokes about before he realizes it matters. The frame resembles something seen earlier in a bedroom, so the find feels less like random spooky decor and more like another piece of the house's private puzzle. Then the path keeps climbing. Something waits above them on a landing, and Tom's guesses bounce from ectoplasm to a sigil to Natalie. The joke does not last. Cold air shows up, visible and hard to ignore. Janet wants to leave. Daylight suddenly seems wise, warmth seems noble, and pretending not to hear things becomes a survival plan. Then a chair moves. Janet yells for Tom to get out of the way, the couple's commentary breaks into panic, and Tom survives just long enough to be offended that anyone would throw furniture.

As heard by us

A funny, eerie crawl through an old house that keeps finding new reasons to stay out of the attic.

Haunted House Flippers turns the inherited old house into a tight little pressure cooker. Tom and Janet keep poking into closed-off spaces, arguing through the mystery, and bumping into a painting that looks a lot like Lee.
