Take Back Your Ad Account Control: Create Your ROAS Dream (Not Etsy's)

December 5, 2025·30 min·20 clips
Jared starts simple. A listener in his growth society asks what to do when an ad account spends $25 in a couple hours, and he uses that as the doorway into how ad systems actually behave. That is the real issue. He compares Etsy ads to the bigger paid-marketing world, saying Facebook, Instagram, and Google all ask for the same kind of input: your assets, your copy, and a few limits instead of endless manual targeting. On Etsy, he says, the title is part of the parameter set. That helps the platform figure out what the listing is and who might care about it. He keeps returning to the idea that ads are part of learning how to sell, not just a button you press when you want traffic. The learning comes from data, and once a seller can read that data the account becomes a useful signal instead of a mystery box. He then pushes that thinking beyond Etsy: the data you get there can be carried into other ad platforms later as the shop keeps growing. Then he finally answers the spending question. He lays out three ways an account can be set up: spend as fast as possible, spend efficiently, or aim only for ROAS. The fast-spend mode is blunt. The efficient mode tries to balance buyer intent, platform behavior, and the account's own data so the product shows up at the right time without wasting the whole budget. The ROAS-only mode is the slowest. It can sit at roughly one to two dollars a day and still be technically doing what it was told, which is why a seller can wait forever for a result that never feels urgent. He keeps the tone conversational. The whole thing sounds like someone thinking out loud with a shop owner in the room, trying to separate the settings problem from the product problem before money goes any further.
