Nick Carter: Monkey See Murder (EP1206)

April 2, 2026·34 min·2 clips
Professor Toole reveals that a red symbol scrawled on his manuscript is the same mark found in the blood of a murdered guide in Peru — a promise of death.
Adam Graham opens from Boise, Idaho with listener support business. Then Nick Carter steps in, billed as the manhunter with unmatched crime-solving powers. The case moves fast. A letter says Bennett Coleman has been missing for more than five years, and the lawyers want the professor's help. Money changes the temperature. If the surviving brother gets the whole estate, Bennett has a clear reason to appear and a nasty reason to kill. The first theory lands cleanly: Bennett came back, killed Charlie, and tried to make himself the only brother left for the inheritance. Then the name shifts. Bennett Coleman is also Vern Cole, a bad customer who recently escaped from a Carolina prison after serving three years of a long sentence for armed robbery. That should make things simple. The captain likes it: a fugitive near the crime, a dead brother, and money in the air. Nick catches the snag. Vern was seen in town before Charlie got the letter about their father's death, which makes the motive too tidy. The alibis start to wobble. What looked like a straight inheritance murder now has timing trouble, secrecy, and a delicate college situation attached. The show pauses for sponsor copy, then snaps right back to the question of whether Nick buys the obvious suspect. He does not sound convinced. The clip leaves the case split between a captain ready to chase Vern Cole and Nick watching the contradiction everyone else wants to hurry past.

As heard by us

A brisk inheritance mystery that stays sharp even when the obvious answer arrives early.

Monkey Sees Murder moves quickly through a disputed estate, a brother with another name, and a fugitive angle that comes into focus almost at once. The pace does a lot of the work.
