A Destination Wedding, Chiefs vs Ravens, and the Megalopolis Trailer Disaster

·1 hr 26 min·5 clips

Colton recounts his emotional experience at a Smoky Mountains destination wedding and previews the disastrous Megalopolis trailer rollout.

The episode opens with Colton Robertson introducing the show and teasing segments on a destination wedding story, entertainment news, archaeology, video games, sports, and an album of the week. He is joined by co-host Joseph George. Colton recounts his trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, for his girlfriend's sister Sarah's wedding, describing the intimate ceremony, his role in managing music, and anecdotes like a bear encounter and a hotel fire alarm. He shares emotional reflections on family dynamics. The entertainment segment covers Marvel's announcement of James Spader returning as Ultron in a Vision series, Chick-fil-A's plans for a family-friendly streaming service, and the problematic trailer for 'Megalopolis' which used fake or misattributed critic quotes, possibly AI-generated. They also discuss 'Ted Lasso' season 4, upcoming releases like a Superman documentary and 'Jurassic World Rebirth', and the film 'My Penguin Friend'. Joe's archaeology segment corrects Stonehenge theories, mentioning glacier drift and its history as a burial site, then details the controversial Georgia Guidestones—an American monument with population control commandments that was destroyed in 2022—and the 'Time Pyramid' in Germany, a long-term art project. Sports includes Kansas City Royals' struggles, Mizzou football's 51-0 win, and Colton's NFL prediction for Chiefs vs. Ravens. The episode concludes with plugs for other podcasts and an album of the week pick.
