Response to 23 Questions - Part 153 - What is Hadith ( Hadees Kya Hai ) - Javed Ahmed Ghamidi

The claim is that Hadith and Jibreel’s questions are not a separate religion, only an arrangement of the same Deen.
The 153rd episode of the series of objections stays inside the 19th meeting on the question of Hadith. The opening concern is the claim that it was the Prophet's positional responsibility to convey the law, explanation, clarification, and elaboration of the religion to the ummah. The discussion then revisits the first Quranic verse used in support of that claim. That verse is read through the paired terms "the Book" and "the Wisdom." The host presses for the basis of distinguishing the meanings assigned to those words. Ghamidi answers by treating "Book" as the revealed legal order and "Wisdom" as the principles, beliefs, and theological grounds that surround it. The Torah is cited as an example of scripture in which law predominates, so it is called the Book. The Injeel is then described as Wisdom because it states the principles behind the law rather than merely listing commands. The argument is that revelation does not always use the same label for the same kind of content. Surah al-Zukhruf, ayah 63, is then introduced to support that distinction. The verse about Jesus coming with clear signs is taken as evidence that he brought Wisdom, and the line about explaining some of the matters in dispute is folded into that same reading. Imam Farahi's view is then summarized as a useful rule of interpretation: when the Book is followed by the Wisdom, the Book is to be taken in its legal sense, and the Wisdom carries the explanatory and principial dimension. The warning not to neglect that difference becomes the hinge of the argument. From there, the earlier objection is said to lose much of its force. The conversation stays formal, cumulative, and tightly organized around textual categories. The segment ends by pointing to another verse that will be brought into the discussion next.

As heard by us

A measured reading of kitab and hikmah that keeps the argument tight and carefully bounded.

The discussion keeps its focus on a narrow question: what the Book and the Wisdom mean in the Quran, and how that connects to the Prophet's duty to explain the law to the ummah.
