Charge it! | Love Island: All Stars S3 Eps 1-9

·1 hr·3 clips
Scott immediately calls Sean a “pathetic islander” and blows up the villa’s first power dynamic.
Lauren opens by saying Love Island again. She notes that the pod has mostly covered the U.S. versions, even though the UK series was really the gateway for her. Series five was the one that got her hooked, and she says it pushed her even deeper into the whole mess. She also remembers the first All Stars season, though not with perfect clarity. Josh and Sophie come up as the kind of couple she still checks in on whenever they show up again. That sets up why All Stars pulled her back in. She is following it as part of a longer fandom, not like it is some fresh start. A lot of the episode is her trying to figure out who is actually working in the villa. Scott becomes the loudest presence in the conversation. She says he came in hot and basically started by telling people he did not like them on their show. That includes Whitney, which she finds funny because it is so blunt and so unprovoked. The villa also gets dragged into a messy game. Whitney catches heat for playing it safe with Jack. Lauren does not really buy the criticism. She thinks Jack is boring, and she suspects he actually wants Millie but is too hesitant to say it. She reads Whitney as someone who keeps ending up with sweet guys who do not have much personality. The comparison she reaches for is Lochan. What Whitney needs, in Lauren's view, is someone with more fire. She wants a Tyreek type. She pauses to check the name and confirms it for herself. The point is that Whitney needs a ride-or-die who will cheer her on and have her back. The episode then lands on the cliffhanger that Scott will recouple. He chooses Leanne. Lauren is into Scott and Leanne for now, at least until the next twist changes everything. She says she wants to catch up on the UK side so she can keep track of what is happening. She is especially protective of Whitney and does not want to see her embarrassed out in public. Lauren closes by calling the show a little escape from the hellscape and saying she will try to make these recaps weekly, even if the exact day is still not set.
