Do you admire someone's success, or do you try to emulate it in your own life?

What do you do with admiration? The host starts with a thought he wrote down in November: people often admire success, but admiration does not change much unless it turns into imitation. That question drives the sermon. He talks about seeing traits in other people that are worth respecting, then asks whether those same traits are showing up in the listener's life. The point is not achievement for its own sake. It is about learning from lives that make faith visible enough to copy. Then the sermon moves into burdens. The host says Jesus did not ask people to carry every problem while they figure out the answer on their own. Give him the problem. That phrase becomes the center of the message, especially when the host warns against giving God a preferred solution instead of trusting him with the need itself. He also leaves room for confusion. Romans chapter eight had him stuck for years as he tried to understand Paul's language about doing what he should not do. Over time, the passage began to make sense. He treats Paul's struggle as a picture of human brokenness, but not one that ends in despair, because Jesus answers what Paul exposes. First Corinthians 4:16 gives the sermon its plain instruction: Paul tells believers to imitate him. If someone carries something worth admiring, practice the pattern. The closing prayer asks God to lead, guide, protect, remember loved ones and the pastor, and help the people walk into what is prepared for them in 2026. It ends with trust, not pressure.
