“CLOTHED FOR GLORY- THE GOD WHO PROVIDES A MEDIATOR

February 18, 2026·55 min·4 clips
If you were invited to stand before the King of the universe, how would you prepare yourself?
Praise starts the morning. The host frames Exodus 28 and 29 around preparation, worthiness, and access before a holy God. The answer is mercy. God appoints a priest, gives a mediator, and treats sin as serious without backing away from relationship. Aaron carries the people before the Lord. The shoulder stones hold the names of the twelve tribes as a memorial. The breastpiece carries judgment. Twelve stones sit in four rows, each engraved with a tribe's name and fastened to the ephod so it will not swing loose. Even the movement matters. The host slows down over the pouch, the gold filigree, and the Urim and Thummim used for seeking God's decisions. Then comes the robe: blue under the ephod, with pomegranates and golden bells alternating along the hem. The bells have to sound. Coming and going from the holy place is never casual, because holiness has weight. The turban says the same thing. A pure golden medallion rests on Aaron's turban, engraved holy to the Lord, and bears the guilt of holy offerings. Tunic, sash, turban, sons' garments, and undergarments keep pressing the point: God provides the way near. The reading turns to Christ, then to trust, forgiveness, cleansing, and the confession that the perfect high priest has died and risen. Come near through Christ, live clothed in his righteousness, and carry worship into the day.
