NEW Co-Host! Hunts Gone Bad and Lessons Learned The Hard Way

·1 hr 2 min·5 clips

Jordan describes sinking in thick swamp mud, watching his canoe blow away, and diving to grab it with a decoy to escape.

The episode begins with host Jordan Frumger welcoming new co-host Devin, dubbed the 'urban marauder,' for the off-season. They immediately dive into personal anecdotes, starting with a humorous story about Devin mocking his uncle during a hunt, causing him to walk away. The conversation shifts to discussing the challenges of off-season content and their tendency to leave blinds too early. News topics include proposed non-resident hunting license restrictions in Saskatchewan, which they analyze for impact on guides and casual hunters. Jordan shares experiences from recent expos, including ping-pong matches and his dog Chief's misbehavior when left home. Upcoming spring turkey hunting plans are discussed, with both hosts expressing excitement for public land hunts in Michigan. Listener questions cover travel plans, habitat projects, and nickname origins. The main segment focuses on 'hunts gone bad,' with detailed stories: Jordan breaking a trailer jack on an Iron Hide hunt, Devin and a buddy falling into deep water while retrieving decoys, Jordan getting stuck in swamp mud and nearly losing his canoe, Devin's boat nearly capsizing in a log jam, and a dangerous ice-breaking retrieval mission. Each story includes lessons learned, such as slowing down, knowing water depth, using safety ropes, and avoiding risky ice. The episode wraps with partner shoutouts and a call for reviews.
