Jason says the CWD topic goes deeper than state websites and that "we have more answers than they want to know."

Jason opens by introducing himself as a certified wildlife biologist and the founder and president of Drop Time Wildlife Consulting, the Drop Time Seed Company, and Drop Time Podcast. He says he has spent 17 years as a private wildlife consultant and graduated from Mississippi State University. He adds that one of the best parts of the work is traveling the country and watching clients turn a small piece of property into something special. He then announces a new listener-supported, ad-free premium podcast platform and says he is fully committed to it. He thanks listeners for the emails, texts, phone calls, and in-person feedback they have given him, saying that feedback has been the main reason he decided to scale the work he does for the podcast. Starting in September 2023, he says, the Drop Time Innovators Podcast will launch as a subscriber-only, member-supported premium feed. He invites listeners to become Drop Time Innovators and notes that bonus content is already available, including an episode with preliminary observations from Mississippi State University Regenerative Food Plotting Research. He uses that preview to set the tone for the kind of material the premium feed will carry. He then shifts to chronic wasting disease, saying listeners have asked for more depth after earlier free public episodes with guests. He says he has kept working on CWD for a long time and that the topic is far bigger than what popular magazines, state agency websites, and newsletters usually show. He argues that the available literature leaves out important pieces and that there are more answers than agencies want to admit. He says the deeper feed will cover origin stories, the facts from the latest peer-reviewed research, and conversations with experts across different CWD niches, whether he agrees with them or not. He also wants to dig into whitetail journalism and ask what information is being hidden and why. He says there is already a series of recorded, in-depth roller crimping discussions ready to publish, including conversations with pioneers in the practice and the different ways wildlife food plotters use the roller crimper compared with production agriculture. He closes by saying that transparent content with fellow innovators helps people move through the learning curve faster and avoid costly mistakes while they work on deer and wildlife.
