Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar - The SS Malay Trader Ship
March 5, 2026·30 min·2 clips
Johnny Dollar finds his partner Al Rota stabbed in the neck on the deck of the Malay Trader.
As heard by us
A brisk shipboard mystery that turns a death by the hatch into a fight over whether it was really an accident.
Johnny Dollar opens with a clean piece of shipboard menace: the S.S. Malay Trader, a hiring hall, a deck, and a crewman found dead by the open hatch. The case moves with clipped talk and plain narration, and that is enough to keep suspicion in the air without much slack.
Why you'd press play
You want a shipboard mystery that starts moving before you have time to settle in.
