El The Grudgeholder

·1 hr 1 min·5 clips
A listener asks: are you Christian, Buddhist, or Muslim before you're black, or black before your religion?
A holiday is apparently happening, whether anybody planned for it or not. BZ and L open loose, realizing mid-chat that some people may be off Friday or Monday while work still sits there. Cars still need selling, which somehow turns into the kind of argument only this show would entertain: what would Jesus drive? Camry, Ford, hybrid mileage, and Toyota all get treated with suspiciously serious energy. The check-in keeps wandering. Spring break, work schedules, and small corrections make it feel like everyone walked in halfway through the story and decided to keep talking anyway. Then basketball takes the room over. The postgame handshake becomes the grudge of the week, with one person expecting the half-court moment and reading the miss as disrespect. The crew will not let the easy answer breathe. Did the first handshake count? Did somebody forget? Was the whole thing staged for the camera? The producers take heat, because a sportsmanship ritual starts to look like another TV beat that has to be caught twice. Women's college basketball stays on the watch list, but the vibe is couch debate, not expert desk. Somebody keeps trying to figure out who got mad first. After that, the inbox pulls the episode sideways. Yoshi from Relationship Status checks in, laughs at last week, and confirms Billy Ray Valentine as the Trading Places answer. The movie gets proper respect. The new clue trail points quickly toward Stringer Bell, thanks to street life, business lessons, and real estate talk. By the end, the show is back on ordinary pain: gas prices, 93 octane hurting feelings, 87 making practical sense, and the usual email, YouTube comments, and social handles on the way out.

As heard by us

A holiday hangout where Toyota jokes, basketball etiquette, and Stringer Bell all share the same lane.

The DJ Blaze Radio Show treats a holiday check-in as an easygoing tour through everyday arguments and pop-culture side roads. BZ and L move from wondering whether Jesus would have needed a Toyota to settling on a hybrid Camry, then compare time off, spring break, and college…
