DEVOCIONAL PÃO DIÁRIO | PALAVRA TRANSFORMADORA DE DEUS
February 10, 2026·3 min
The episode opens by quoting 2 Timothy 3:15 about scripture giving wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ. It then reads the full passage from 2 Timothy 3:10-17, emphasizing scripture's divine inspiration and usefulness for teaching, correction, and preparation. A narrative follows about Cristina buying a Mandarin Bible for her husband Xiu Hu, though neither were Christians. Xiu Hu initially reacted with anger but accepted the gift and was persuaded by the truth he read. Cristina, upset by this unexpected turn, began reading the Bible to refute him but also ended up trusting Jesus. The episode links this story to the apostle Paul, who wrote from prison in Rome to encourage his disciple Timothy. Paul urged Timothy to remain faithful to what he was taught, referencing Timothy's childhood instruction in the scriptures. The Greek meaning of 'remain' is explained as submitting to what the Bible reveals. Paul wanted to prepare Timothy for opposition and persecution, believing he would find strength and wisdom through pondering biblical truths. The episode states that God vivifies the scriptures for us through the Holy Spirit. As we engage with scripture, we understand and are transformed to become more like God. This transformation is illustrated by Xiu Hu and Cristina's experiences. The episode ends with two reflective questions for listeners about their own transformation through reading and reflecting on the Bible.
