Daily Fortnite Podcast 2861 - Something Went Wrong

·18 min·1 clip

Host Mikey reveals why Fortnite players couldn't redeem V-Bucks gift cards yesterday and how it was fixed.

The episode begins with host Mikey discussing a temporary Fortnite issue where V-Bucks gift card redemption displayed a 'something went wrong' error, which was resolved within hours. He then transitions to analyzing player counts across various Fortnite modes, noting Battle Royale has 160,000 players and Reload has 119,000, while creator-made modes like Steel the Brain Rot have 90,000. Mikey mentions the total player count was 1,213,081 on Tuesday, reflecting typical mid-week numbers. He observes that many players are feeling burnt out this season due to its extended length and lack of major updates, citing the Winterfest and South Park events as underwhelming. The host reviews quests and reminders, including daily logins and ranked rewards deadlines. Competitive coverage includes FNCS Division 1 results in NA East, where Clicks and Higgs won with 94 eliminations and an average placement of 18.8, while Arkbot and Ruins placed 50th with 48 eliminations. Mikey also examines Division 5 stats, noting Sven and Zerkman advanced with 228 points, to illustrate progression for casual players. He picks the Panda Team Leader outfit as the item of the day, costing 2000 V-Bucks and tied to Lunar New Year. Community comments are read, including praise for his son Blaine's episode, friend requests, and discussion about a potential Fortnite movie. Mikey encourages listeners to join the Discord, follow on social media, and leave podcast reviews. The episode ends with a sign-off reminding players to have fun and avoid the storm.
