Amos n Andy - Annual Christmas Show

March 15, 2026·30 min·2 clips
Andy tells Arbadella she wrote Santa too late for the talking doll, hinting at his own poverty.
The chair is waiting. A floor walker sends Santa through the door, explains the setup, and leaves him with a line of children. They spot him right away. He quiets the crowd, sits down, and opens with a big practiced holiday laugh. First up is Sammy Jackson. Sammy asks for a Hopalong Cassidy hat, shirt, spurs, belt, gun, boots, and even a toothbrush. Then he swerves. After all that Hopalong gear, Sammy says his favorite cowboy star is Roy Rogers, which lands the joke cleanly. Santa keeps smiling. He asks whether Sammy has been good, then decides the boy looks smart enough that the question hardly needs asking. Sammy shuts that down. He says he is not smart in school, does not try hard, and has no plans to start after vacation. Santa reaches for leverage. The floor walker becomes backup for one small customer with a very firm position. Then Sammy finds the deal. If he gets everything on the list, he will try hard, and Santa suddenly calls off the emergency. The scene moves on quick reversals. Every friendly question becomes a trap, and every correction gives Sammy another neat answer to knock down. The Christmas sweetness stays in place, but it has a sharper edge: Santa's lap turns into a desk and a courtroom at the same time. Sponsor material presses in around the scene. French language Shopify and Bellambra spots frame the excerpt, so the fun sits in the middle: vintage Christmas banter, children, and one very businesslike wish list.
