The Masters is nearly here, about 18 hours out, so the crew builds the episode around a CSN Masters golf pool instead of a buttoned up preview desk. Felder is in the middle of a break. Wayne is in a public school building during study period. It all feels like they found one available window and hit record. Then SVP takes over the room. A dad text calling Scott Van Pelt a terrible host gets immediate pushback, mostly because everyone treats that as wildly aggressive Wednesday afternoon behavior. The board keeps moving. Wayne makes a pick Felder likes, Serber takes Hideki Matsuyama, and Augusta affection becomes the argument. That gets needled, which somehow turns into Charles Davis: broadcaster status, Madden memories, and confusion over where he has been lately. Felder goes Siwoo Kim. The reaction becomes a quick, messy run through Korean golfers, family, and kimbap lunches before the board drags everyone back. The pool stays competitive, but nobody is pretending this is serious golf modeling. They care just enough to protect their picks and clown the bad ones. Then the close swerves into body grooming, rides the bit a little longer, and snaps into a Jared Jewelers ad. Very CSN. The Masters gives them the excuse, the pool gives them the frame, and the fun is the room arguing its way through every side road.
