Christian Trucker's Network · THE LORDS ROUND TABLE MINISTRY

CONSUMED WITH THE HOUSE OF GOD PART 2

February 24, 2026·1 hr 3 min·5 clips
A pastor prays for a smuggling network risking everything to bring Bibles into North Korea.
Page 127 starts it plainly. The room moves through hymn singing, seating, missions language, and prayer before the sermon voice takes over with John 11:40 still close behind it. Then the preacher narrows in on people who love Christ, love the church, and have been brought low enough to quit leaning on their own strength. He gets there by the side door first. His sister's odd-looking fried chicken turns into a homespun warning about cutting up scripture without order. Rightly divide the word. He pushes context hard: John has to be read by John, John by the New Testament, and the New Testament by the Old. For him, that is not trivia. Bad doctrine starts when verses like Acts 2:38 get pulled loose and asked to say more than the Bible says. He calls that a free lesson, then moves from doctrine to the person hearing it. Knowledge, power, and will can send someone down another road until God breaks them. Strong people do not follow easily. The preacher says love for Christ and love for the church come after the will has been broken, not while self-confidence is still in charge. He looks back without making himself look better. Twenty years ago, he says, he did not love Jesus the way he does now. The difference is what God gives. The ending gets heavier. Depression, anxiety, slipped discs, sciatic pain, broken bones, a daughter's kidney transplant, and leukemia all sit inside his argument that God gives and takes. He reaches for Job. Suffering is not treated as good in itself. It is treated as something that can drive a believer to bless the Lord instead of walking off. Then comes the altar, with prayer for a kept heart, a blessed church, and listeners ready to answer if God has spoken.

As heard by us

Context, trust, and suffering are preached plainly and close to home.

The episode centers on a church sermon about trusting Jesus, reading Scripture in context, and letting hard seasons weaken self-reliance instead of faith.
