Spellcasting 101

·1 hr 20 min·2 clips
Lenore turns Eloise's confession into a controlled spell lesson, and a wild magic surge produces a field of flowers.
The episode picks up after the Order of the Chrysalis has already put everyone through a strange mental workout. The recap goes back over the auras, the topiary copies, and the moment those plant bodies collapse back into balls of energy and launch out of the room. From there, the group follows the glitch. Doors keep appearing in the gardens, and the one tied to Jackals is already smashed and barely holding together. The path keeps bending toward the large quartz building those energy balls seemed to choose, and then out onto a road beyond the gardens. The episode then settles into a quieter stretch where Lenore starts asking the kind of questions that open up an entire life instead of just the next scene. Jericho explains that Eloise's mother helped build something highly secretive, worked with teleporters, and died on an expedition to another planet. The answer lands with grief, but also with the matter-of-fact love that keeps the conversation moving. Jericho remembers that both he and Eloise's mother worked on the teleporters, which gave them access beyond just the hyper rich. He talks about Eloise's mother as someone who could build almost anything with her hands. Metal, magic, wood, whatever the job needed. Lenore hears enough to understand where some of Eloise's strength comes from, even if she keeps teasing around the edges. When Eloise finally walks into the room, the scene turns awkward in the good way. Lenore introduces herself as Miss V and invites Eloise to talk about the biggest magic she has ever tried or imagined. Eloise does not have a polished answer. She says her dad thinks she burned a building down, clarifies that it was not intentional, and then admits she would like to be able to float. That tiny wish says a lot. The scene leaves room for a kid trying to understand her own power without turning her into a speech. The ending drifts into loose, happy nonsense about eggs and a circus riff that fits the group's energy. By the close, the episode has stitched together lore, loss, and a small spark of wonder without forcing any of them to stand alone.

As heard by us

A strange, tender spell lesson that keeps tripping into real feeling.

Spellcasting 101 treats magic as something awkward, personal, and still under construction: a training session with the Order of the Chrysalis, glitching doors, and a quieter drift toward Eloise's world.
