Desecrate

October 23, 2023·40 min·3 clips
Holly pulls a gun on Brent and Jen after the Ouija board reveals their secret affair.
The firelight welcome almost feels safe. Past it are Whispering Woods, a crumbling rock wall, unnamed graves, and one secret that should have stayed buried. Jen opens the door to Brent, who turns up with a pumpkin spice latte and the kind of timing that says the past has not cooled off. Holly makes the room tighter. What starts as an awkward visit turns sour fast: Brent wants grace, Jen wants control, and nobody quite gets either. Then the graveyard stops being mood. Jen finds a carved symbol that matches what Holly has been looking for, and the night shifts from relationship fallout into a ritual nobody is handling well. The stone makes noise. Holly takes it as proof that Philomena is still partly here. Brent keeps trying to laugh it off as hocus pocus with candles, which only makes him sound less in control. Then the board comes out. The Ouija ritual happens exactly where it should not: in a graveyard, beside remains, with everyone's nerves getting thinner by the minute. Holly wants contact. Jen goes along. Brent needles. The invocation asks the Mother of the Crescent Moon to guard them from negative energy, evil, and dark entities. The banter keeps the scene human, and that is what makes the dread bite harder. By the end, another ambulance is on the way. Jen is conscious, Gilder surfaces, and the buried history has clearly not stayed buried.
