grammys with a media pass

February 7, 2024·27 min·2 clips
Ellie shares what it was like to have a virtual media pass for the 66th Grammys and interview artists.
The 66th Grammys starts as a first. Ellie says she had never handled a major virtual press setup before, so the episode keeps stopping on the details that threw her. There were two Zoom links: one for the red carpet, one for the media center. Then the scramble kicks in. She has very little time to get questions ready, catches herself repeating a theme, and still sounds glad she asked what she asked. Brothers Osborne are part of that learning curve. Her question about working alone versus collaborating comes back later with Tyler Johnson, this time from the production side. She keeps circling back to it because the whole day still feels unreal. Broken Record works here because the access is big, but the real charm is Ellie telling the story while the nerves are still fresh.
