A woman's body floats face down in the water at night, kicking off a weekend getaway that turns deadly.
Robin picks the movie. The table is still open near the end of season 13, so Adam and Nick treat The Weekend Away as one of the last chances to matter. It is on Netflix. They note the 2022 release, the 15 rating, the 1 hour 29 minute runtime, and the 5.7 IMDb rating, then pretty much decide the score has been kind. Their reaction is not rage. It is that dry little pause where a number can be believable and still feel wrong.
Then the recap gets into it. Beth is stuck in the mess after Kate's death, with police leaning on her because witnesses say the two women argued outside the club. Beth says it was a loud conversation instead, which is exactly the sort of distinction Adam and Nick can enjoy without having to push too hard. The police want more, take her passport, and Beth keeps quiet about Rob's affair with Kate. Sensible? Not really. Messy? Very.
Rob then leaves, and the hosts sound mildly defeated by how easily he seems to pop in, vanish, and get back again, as if travel barely counts. Jay has an alibi. He also knew about the affair, and his defence is basically that he did not know Beth well enough to make it his problem. Fair enough, somehow. Beth later goes to Zane, now in calm advice mode, telling her to trust her instincts. Odd timing, since she says she does not think Rob did it, while Adam and Nick point out that nobody has really been treating him like a suspect anyway.
The ending stays practical. They cover where to find the show, explain the Monday video issue after the cameras failed, and point listeners toward Come to Daddy before the next movie-show return.
