John Jamingo swears to God the show sounds better normally, but tonight nothing's working—not even the record button.
Episode 387 starts with a warning label. John Jamingo forgot to hit record after a run of pre-show tech problems, so the released audio has been pulled back from YouTube. Naturally, that becomes the first joke. He apologizes, talks about caring too much, and pokes at himself while the connection, soundboard, echo, and muddy audio all get their turn causing trouble. The show has barely started, and somehow that is the start. The mess is not hidden in the corner. It walks in first. Then the chat takes over. A comment about someone nearly thirty having trouble dating people in their early twenties sends the hosts into age gaps and dating rules. Nobody keeps it neat for long. They move from half-age math to older women dating younger men, with the usual corrections, offense, and sideways laughs. Money becomes the blunt theory. One voice says powerful older women do not need support, so younger men become fun, energy, and arm candy. The pushback comes fast enough. Another voice points out that men date younger women constantly, so acting shocked when women do it feels a little selective. Then the drops start doing their own show. An audio bite talks under the conversation, and someone has to ask why a woman is speaking when her lips are not moving. Weirdly, it fits. Bad audio, live chat, and barely finished theories keep shoving the topic around without stopping it. Near the end, the show briefly finds its footing again. The close points listeners to the live streams on Monday and Thursday nights, then runs through the usual follows, shares, links, email, and voicemail.
