·34 min·3 clips

BJ Shea and Vicki Barcelona kick off a holiday edition discussing Inside Job Season 2, Doctor Who, and a Spirited movie review.

The episode begins with hosts BJ Shea and Vicki Barcelona introducing a holiday edition, previewing discussions on Inside Job, Doctor Who, and movie reviews. Vicki shares her thoughts on Inside Job Season 2, noting it's a comfort show that explores conspiracy theories humorously, and she's disappointed more people aren't aware of it. BJ mentions voice actors like Lizzy Caplan and Christian Slater, and they discuss Brett Gelman's role as a mushroom. Moving to Doctor Who, BJ explains Jodie Whittaker's final episode, The Power of the Doctor, which included cameos from past Doctors like David Tennant and Sylvester McCoy. The twist regeneration into David Tennant instead of Chuti Gatwa is highlighted, with BJ noting Russell T. Davies' return as showrunner and Disney Plus's involvement. Next, the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is praised as a cute, 41-minute film that could become a Christmas classic, contrasting with Spirited. BJ critiques Spirited for its excessive singing, lack of chemistry between Will Ferrell and Octavia Spencer, and overall length, despite positive critic and audience scores. The Walking Dead finale is discussed, with BJ summarizing its themes of human conflict over zombies and upcoming spinoffs like those featuring Maggie, Negan, and Daryl Dixon. Finally, Vicki presents a holiday geek sheet gift guide for tabletop gamers, including items like Animal Adventures, Arcadia magazine, Crescendo of Violence, and Marvel Dice Throne. The episode wraps with holiday wishes and a call to stay nerdy.
