The hosts debate a female metal singer's authenticity while opening a bottle of Redemption Rye, setting the stage for a politically incorrect night.
The opening is all banter. A metal song, a bottle of Redemption Rye, True Grit riffing, and Forrest all get thrown around before the episode settles into gun talk. Nobody hurries there, which is part of the rhythm. The firearms discussion starts with a rating that sounds casual until the exceptions start carrying the argument. Nine out of ten is praise. Ten out of ten falls apart over one gun that would not shoot and a .270 McGarrett that Trooper John cannot get to behave. That becomes the show's standard: funny complaint first, useful reliability test second. Facebook supplies the next spark. Eric Cortina's comparison of the .270 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor gets treated as fair enough to answer, but not fair enough to let pass cleanly. The hosts give him part of it. Bullet selection matters, factory offerings can blur the picture, and old .270 rifles from 1925 make any neat spreadsheet claim harder to trust. Then they get to powder room. A 130 grain .270 load at 3,200 feet per second gets held up with no primer cratering, no hard bolt lift, an old chamber, and cheap brass. The Creedmoor claim gets cornered fast. If someone says a 130 out of a 6.5 Creedmoor is running 3,200 feet per second, the hosts hear lying or popped primers. The technical point stays blunt: bigger cases hold more powder, and they do not see that as a mystery. The close turns political. Talk of the M79, the 40 millimeter thumper, and the Australian Wombat gun becomes another complaint about what gun laws have taken away. Then music takes over again. Judas Priest, Slayer, and a final track cue leave the episode where it started, somewhere between a gun counter and a record-store argument.

The episode opens with music and Redemption Rye banter, then settles into a cartridge debate over .270 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor, factory ammo, and case capacity.
