Tega Brain & Sam Lavigne Launch of 'Offset'

May 30, 2023·19 min·2 clips

Sam Lavigne reveals 'Perfect Sleep'—an app that treats increased sleep as climate engineering by challenging capitalist productivity.

Artists Tega Brain and Sam Lavigne present their project 'Offset,' which reimagines geoengineering through artistic interventions that critique carbon markets. They discuss previous works like 'Perfect Sleep' and 'Synthetic Messenger' that challenge techno-optimistic climate solutions, and explain how 'Offset' aims to convert industrial sabotage and direct action into carbon credits to fund activists.
