A Lucky Life: A Self Discovery & Improvement Podcast · Megan Lucky

When Human met Spirit (with Jamie Aron)

·45 min·2 clips
Jamie says her book began with a COVID-19 vaccine decision that left her isolated and bullied.
Megan opens the show by inviting listeners to get to know her better while helping them do the same. She welcomes Jamie Aron and asks for context about who she is, a bit more about her book, and what people can expect to hear from her today. Jamie says she is a spiritual life coach. She does not like to fit herself into one label and describes her work as centered on mindset, positivity, and helping clients understand that everything happens for them, not to them, so they can make the shifts they need to live the life they want. She also says she is an intuitive and oracle card reader. She does not love calling it a gift, because she believes everyone can tap into their soul senses. For her, the information comes through as clear cognizance, or a clear knowing, which she calls a download. The conversation stays easy and keeps coming back to spirituality as a practice, not an identity. That idea gets sharper when they talk about how other people try to define you. Megan brings up what it felt like after Be Your Girl, when labels and judgment started piling up. She says she went hard in the opposite direction and pushed a part of herself away because it had been treated like such a small piece of the picture. Jamie relates to that feeling and talks about what happens when a negative label starts to crowd out everything else. She uses the anti-vaxxer label as an example of how one decision can become the whole identity in other people’s eyes. Jamie says that kind of pressure made her question herself and pushed her inward. She tells a story about meeting her now fiance on their first date. He said he had asked around and heard that she was an anti-vaxxer, then asked if she was a nice person. That question landed hard and changed how she thought about the whole label problem. The conversation closes with a reminder that people can be more than the box they are handed, even when figuring out who they are is still messy. Megan ends feeling excited about seeing psychic medium Anthony Marocca the next day.
