We Are Book Wh0res - Episode 1 - Den of Vipers!

·36 min·3 clips
Madison and Bleak kick off their new series by revisiting the dark romance 'Den of Vipers' that gave them a book hangover for years.
First episode, zero chill. Madison and Bleak open the new format with accent jokes, some emotional teasing, and the sweet relief of not getting mocked right away. Then Goodreads turns into the receipt drawer. They pin their shared Den of Vipers read to December 2020, call it old-school territory, and bring K.A. Knight into the chat. The sell is bossy in the best way: if Madison Kate already got you, Den of Vipers is probably your next stop. Ryder gets lined up beside Archer, but they are not trying to build a neat character chart. They are chasing the type: stoic, guarded, wildly feeling things, and somehow still working. The men get plenty of candy-counter approval as they run through the four love interests, but Roxy is where the loyalty locks in. Her entrance has bite. She sees her dad being beaten, grabs a bat, protects the bar, and wins them over fast. She is not delicate window dressing. Even with dominant, obsessed men crowding the story, their read is that Roxy stays sharp, stubborn, and fully capable of swinging back. The dad piece is grim. Being sold to cover debts makes survival the center of the book, not a side decoration, and their praise keeps coming back to her backbone. For Madison Kate fans, the bridge is character chemistry more than plot machinery or tidy trope bins. They like the mess. The episode closes with Q3 book club housekeeping, Danielle already clearing all three prompts, TikTok, Thirsty Thursday, and a call for schedule feedback.

As heard by us

Madison and Bleak revisit a dark-romance favorite whose fierce heroine and four obsessive men still command their attention.

K.A. Knight's Den of Vipers brings Madison and Bleak back to a dark-romance favorite they first covered in 2020. In "We Are Book Whores," plot takes a back seat to the question of why the book stayed with them.
