Todd and Craig open the Halloween show by talking about the holiday and the movie they almost covered instead. They had been circling WNUF Halloween special for a while. Instead, they land on Haunted Ween after noticing that Vinegar Syndrome had put it out with a nice cleanup treatment and that it was also on Tubi. The pick suits them. It is an obscure 1991 oddity that feels like a forgotten labor of love. They compare it to Scary Movie, in the sense of a homemade, barely professional project made by people who mostly acted or directed once and moved on. That is the kind of thing they enjoy. They keep coming back to the movie's heart. From there they walk the plot beat by beat. Whenever a scene tilts weirdly, they stop to decide whether it is scary, stupid, charming, or just dull. The conversation stays loose. They react to the early nude scenes with deadpan amusement. The movie keeps adding more, and they treat that as part of its scrappy appeal. They also note that the main guys are not exactly beefcake material. That makes the women showing up with their tops off even funnier to them. The pontoon-boat scene gets its own attention. So does the movie's weird habit of putting logos right in the frame. RC Cola, Domino's, and Subway all become running bits. A giant RC Cola logo on the back of a shirt gets the same treatment. By the end, the hosts are still marveling that a movie this small can feel like both a commercial and an odd Halloween time capsule, and they sign off with listener wishes and Christmas-horror requests.
