Curse II: The Bite

January 24, 2026·56 min·10 clips
Todd and Craig revisit Curse II: The Bite, a 1989 straight-to-video sequel that also goes by The Bite. They treat it like a title cash-in, the kind of movie that grabs a familiar name and leaves the actual connection almost completely behind. Federico Prosperi directed it. They say it was his only film and that, for all the sequel nonsense, it is genuinely well shot and more competently directed than the setup would lead you to expect. The hosts also say it apparently did well. That opens the door to Curse 3 and Curse 4, including the one with Christopher Lee, and they make it clear that the whole series sounds so unhinged they want to keep moving through it. From there, the conversation shifts into the snake plot. A kid is in danger, and the main question becomes whether the right antidote can get to him before the damage turns fatal. The snake gets a careful look. Todd and Craig talk through the reveal that it is a bushmaster snake and treat the mutant-snake angle as equal parts creature feature and absurd plot device. Jamie Farr's character turns into one of the episode's bigger running jokes. The hosts get a kick out of how much he seems to know about snakes and venom, enough that they wonder if he must sell the stuff. The movie then pushes him into action. He wants to find the kid and get the correct antidote to him as fast as possible. But the stakes do not stay medical for long. A friend tells him he could lose his license, and a lawyer warns that he might be charged with administering medication without a medical license, especially if the child dies. Todd and Craig stay with that liability angle. They treat it as another example of the movie turning a basic rescue setup into an absurd legal nightmare. Along the way they keep batting away smaller details, including the bloody snake left behind and the way adults keep rushing back into the same mess. The recap stays loose, funny, and skeptical, which helps the episode land even when the movie itself starts layering weirdness on top of weirdness.
