As heard by us
A Christmas remake is measured against the original through production history, close-up eyes, and one very yellow Billy.
Todd and Craig frame the 2006 Black Christmas remake as a Christmas-horror argument with a useful production-history hook: original director Bob Clark produced it, and had apparently considered a sequel with some of the original people before his death left that path behind.
