10-17 INTERVIEW Sam Neiderman Voice of the NDSU Bison
October 17, 2025·2 min
The segment opens with a UMass Eisenberg School of Management ad before transitioning to the 106.9 The Eagle morning show with Bo and Megan. Sam Niedermann, the voice of the NDSU Bison, joins for his weekly Friday Sports Stop sponsored segment. Sam confirms that the NDSU-SDSU game, long anticipated, is officially set for primetime on ESPN2 or ESPNU, at 7 p.m. in enemy territory. He frames the national TV exposure as meaningful for an FCS program like NDSU. He notes the game will feature road conditions and a rivalry atmosphere under the lights. Before looking ahead, Sam emphasizes that head coach Tim Palasek and the team are focused entirely on the immediate challenge — a road trip to Indiana State. He mentions the Bison have had a solid week of practice and remain undefeated. Sam adds a personal note that Indiana is his home state and recalls calling the NDSU men's basketball team's win over Butler in Indianapolis the previous year. He then details the travel logistics: arriving in Indianapolis before driving to Terre Haute, where Indiana State is located. Megan prompts Sam for his weekly game prediction, a recurring feature of the segment. Sam acknowledges the running joke that she puts him on the spot every week but confidently picks NDSU to win big over Indiana State. The hosts thank him and the segment closes with travel wishes and a Go Bison sign-off.
